Parish School Of Religion (P.S.R.)

 June 24, 2025

Dear PSR Families:

I send this message with a somewhat heavy heart. After decades of St Henry parish offering PSR classes. we sadly are in the position where we can no longer offer this ministry. This is mostly due to declining enrollment. Thankfully, there are other PSR programs available in the area.

There is a city PSR which includes Cathedral, St. Mary’s, St. Luke’s, St. Augustine‘s and St. Teresa‘s. There are also PSR classes at St. James in Millstadt, Corpus Christi and St. Nicholas in Shiloh/O’Fallon area and also at immaculate Concepcion in Columbia.

I will be happy to get you contact information for one of these parishes’ PSR program if you would like me to. Due to this change possibly being an inconvenience to our PSR families, St Henry has decided to reimburse the tuition for your child if a receipt for same is provided to the rectory office.

Again, this was not a decision that was made lightly or without much discussion. We just can no longer continue with the program. Of course, should you have any questions, I will be happy to try and answer them. Also, you are always free to call me anytime.

Thank you and God Bless.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A.)

R.C.I.A. The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the process by which people become members of the Roman Catholic Church. The process is concerned with the total formation of the person into believing with the Church community (doctrinal formation), living with the Church community (practical formation), praying with the Church community (liturgical formation), and serving with the Church community (apostolic formation). Instruction begins in September and culminates in the Profession of Faith or Sacrament of Initiation at Easter Vigil Liturgy. The post baptismal catechesis continues until Pentecost Sunday.

If anyone is interested in learning about our faith, please contact the Parish Office.
