"We are an EASTER People!"

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
As the largest foster care provider in Southern Illinois,
Caritas Family Solutions sees firsthand the impact of abuse and neglect
on hundreds of children every year. Learn how to recognize
signs of child abuse and neglect and what to do about it at caritasfamilysolutions.org/bluekids.

Your support of the Blue Kids Campaign
will help Caritas provide services that reduce abusive behaviors
and situations. These services include anger management and parenting classes, individual and family counseling, foster care services
and much more. Together we can make our communities stronger.

RESPECT LIFE CORNER

Easter Sunday and the six weeks that follow, including Pentecost Sunday, constitute Easter Time in the Church Year. This is an important time for Christians to reflect on and enjoy the reminder that victory over death is possible – possible only because of, and through, Christ. We live in a society that glorifies death in the practices of abortion and the death penalty, but perhaps even more dangerously glorifies spiritual death. With so much to distract us from God, we clearly face an uphill battle in building a culture that respects life - life in Christ. We face challenges in promoting a respect for life. Because of Christ’s conquering death on that first Easter Sunday, we have tremendous hope that a culture of life is possible. Learn, Act, Connect, Pray: Research the Virtue of Hope. How can families, parishes, neighborhoods, etc. live a life of hope? What is one hopeful change that could be made? Interact with another family or group and make a change that displays HOPE. Pray for the ability to live a life of hope.
